Portsmouth FC parades FA Cup trophy through the city

OKI Printing Solutions, Portsmouth Football Clubs main sponsor, led the Wembley cheers on 17th May as Portsmouth Football Club lifted the FA Cup, for the first time since 1939, after beating Cardiff City 1-0 in an exciting final.

Portsmouth's success means that the team will compete in next season's UEFA Champion's League. This is the first time the club has been qualified to play in Europe.

Together with the Club's success in the prestigious Asia Trophy Cup in 2007, this provides additional and highly valuable international exposure for the Portsmouth FC and OKI brands.

Peter Storrie, Chief Executive, Portsmouth FC said : "We thank OKI Printing Solutions for the support provided throughout the season. I know the people of Portsmouth will come out in their droves to congratulate the team on what has been a very successful season."

Lynda Fisher, Strategic Director, Portsmouth City Council said : "Pompey reaching the FA Cup final for the first time since 1939 is such a fantastic achievement and something the whole city can come together to celebrate. The city council has been working hard with the Police and the football club to make sure that everyone has the chance to cheer the team home in a victory parade."

Ewa Johnson, Marketing Director, OKI Printing Solutions UK said : "OKI Printing Solutions and Portsmouth have both enjoyed tremendous success since we began our partnership three years ago. OKI is now the second largest provider of business printers in Europe, while Portsmouth has become firmly established as one of the leading clubs in the Premier League."
