Upon its establishment, Yan Oi Tong was officially registered as a non-profit charitable organization in 1977. Adopting its mission "Caring for the aged and the young, promoting education and nurturing talent, and serving the community with sincerity", Yan Oi Tong provides welfare, education, medical, recreation and sports services to the public throughout Hong Kong. It has nine local offices: Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, Tai Po, Shatin, Tsuen Wan, Kwai Ching, Tseung Kwan O, Causeway Bay and Tsimshatsui.
OKI Printing Solutions donated the user-friendly C8600n printers which have been awarded worldwide for its superior color printing. Color is proven to be a valuable tool to enhance communications and to increase motivation. The printers donated to Yan Oi Tong will be provided to schools and an elderly home run by the organization.
Petros Lam, General Manager for OKI Printing Solutions in Hong Kong who represented the printers to the organization says, "We are excited that the people at the organization will be able to experience the benefits of customizable and easy-to-use, in-house printing. We are happy to be helping Yan Oi Tong and we hope that the printers will aid their IT training."
Community activity is one of the central focuses for OKI Printing Solutions' Corporate Social Responsibility program. This is highlighted through the sponsorship of English Premier League team, Portsmouth. Through this strategic alliance, OKI has implemented various programs to assist in the development of the local community. One of them is its partnership with Hampshire Constabulary to further develop its football league under the guise of the OKI Street Sixes Youth Football League which is a crime diversion scheme aimed at children. Today, the league involves over 500 young people in the Gosport and Fareham districts of Hampshire and has led to a reduction in crime in the area, showing a huge benefit to the greater community.
